Aligarh Muslim University, an oldest and traditional university of India that has their world wide value and respect. Its honorary Degree is not less then Oscar in its class. University has conferred its honorary Degree to lucky celebrities and intellectuals some as Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, Sheikh Mond Abdullah, Dr. Arthur H. Compton ,Chancellor Washington university, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr.S Radha Krishna, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, His Majesty King Saud bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty King Zahir shah king of Afghanistan, His Majesty Raza shah Pehlavi, Shahanshah of Iran, H.E Gamel Abdel Nasir President of U.A.R, Sir Alexender Todd Nobel Laureate, Tinku Abdul Rehman Prime Minister of Malaysia, His Excellency the Sirdone of Sakota Alhaji Ahmado Bello, Prime Minister of Northern Nigeria, H.E. Rahman Famous music composer and an icon of Indian Film industry (Bollywood) is about to receive so called third Oscar (honorary Degree) from Aligarh Muslim University on upcoming 7th June. Person those got honorary Degree from AMU, receive their world wide fame too. A. R. Rahman is not the first from Indian Film industry who to get honorary Degree form Aligarh Muslim University. Earlier in 2002, Mr. Dillip Kumar (Yousuf Khan) was conferred honorary Degree under the period of M. Hamid Ansari then Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.
