Around 150-200 delegates from all over the country are expected to attend the National Symposium on Advances in Clinical Biochemistry - Biomarkers, Molecular Diagnosis and Quality Assurances & 1st Uttar Pradesh Chapter of Association of Clinical Biochemists of India on Nov. 15th and 16th, 2008.
This national symposium are being organised by Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, J. N. Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. Around 25-26 invited speakers have confirmed their participation. Invited speakers includes some great stalwarts like Prof. Thuppil Venkatesh, Principal Advisor, Quality Council of India as well as Director of National Referral Center for Prevention of Lead Poisoning in India, Bangalore; Prof. Suchita Danekar, KEM, Mumbai, Prof. T. Malti, Hyderabad, Dr. Subrata Sinha, Prof. Neeta Singh and Prof. D. N. Rao, all from AIIMS, New Delhi; Prof. Jayashree Bhattachargee, Lady Hardinge Medical college, New Delhi, Prof. V. Mallika, MAMC, New Delhi, Dr. Shahid Jameel, ICGEB, New Delhi; Prof. D. Dash, IMS, BHU, Varanasi; Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, KGMU, Lucknow;
It's worth mentioning here that at the National Level, Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) exists since 1975, but it's U. P. chapter was launched only on 29th March 2008 at Lucknow, and that, the first Uttar Pradesh Chapter has been awarded to AMU Aligarh.
