International Conference on Analysis and its application (ICAA– 2008) is started at Aligarh Muslim University. In his open address, Professor Mursaleen, Convener of the International Conference on Analysis and its application (ICAA– 2008) said that scientists, engineers and even medicos are becoming increasingly concerned about the importance and need of mathematics, which has always been the subject of rapid developments to fulfill the need of the time. He further added that the aim of the present conference is to review the achievements of the main branches of Analysis to identify the problems of current importance and to outline ways of their solution and possible applications.  

Professor Mursaleen said that to enhance the transfer of knowledge and techniques among different fields of pure and applied analysis, namely, Sequence Spaces, Matrix Transformations, Measures of Noncompactness, Fixed Point Theory, Approximation Theory, Variational Inequalities, Optimization and Wavelets. The program of ICAA-08 includes invited plenary lectures as well as contributed papers organized in two parallel sessions; one cover the modern sum ability methods and allied topics, while the other covers the methods of nonlinear analysis.

Professor Mursaleen informed that 24 foreign delegates participating from different parts of the world including USA, Russia, Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Oman. Ten Indian eminent mathematicians and 25 young contributors from all over the country are taking part in the conference.
