UGC Academic Staff College Aligarh Muslim University has started a refresher course in Environmental Studies for teachers. According to the promotion policy of UGC, it is mandatory for every teacher to undergo an Orientation programme and a refresher’s course before promotion. While the orientation programme would be the same for all lecturers, the refresher’s course would very according to their subjects. 

While elaborating on the programme Dr. Zahid Ali, Director of Staff College said that it would be conducted over fifteen days for teachers from university across the country. The course will run till 11th September 2008 and 80 teachers would participate in it.
