Successful pediatrics pacemaker implantation was performed on ten year old girl PREETI who is suffering from viral myocardetis induced complete heart block, at JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

This pediatrics was done under the guidance of Dr. Shadab A Khan, Director, Center of Cardiology along with the help of two teams led by Dr. Arif Wahab, Senior Resident, Center of Cardiology, JN Medical College, AMU and Dr. Lavneesh Mohan Agarwal, Senior Resident, Pediatrics.

Now, the center of cardiology, JN Medical College has become one of the few centers of the country where pediatrics pacemaker facility has been available at low cost. Pacemaker facility for elders is already available in the center but after starting pediatric pacemaker, it will immediately benefit the residents of nearby areas. The facility of angiography and angioplasty will also be available at cardiology center once it is installed.
