To mark their resentment against the new pension scheme of Government of India the teachers in AMU stayed of from the work. However, the sessionals and examinations remained unaffected.
Dr. Tufail Ahmad, Hony. Secretary AMU Teacher’s Association informed that in a meeting of Central Universities Teacher’s Association held in New Delhi it was decided that they would oppose the Government’s new pension scheme in which the appointees after April 2004 are not entitled for pension.
