On 12th July 2008, at 5 p.m. continuing with the routine, Dr Khursheed Alam, prsented his paper on the urbanization in Medieval Bengal, 1203-1538 A.D.He has done his Ph.D. on the theme under the supervision of dr Ali Athar, Reader in History, AMU. Around 30 students and few teachers were present in the seminar. The students put many brilliant, pertinent and perceptive questions/queries to the speaker. As usual, the presentation was introduced by Dr Sumbul and myself delivered the conclusive remarks. It has now been desired by the Chairman, Prof, B.L. Bhadani that from next week, the supervisors of the respective research scholars should also participate in the seminar to elaborate upon the presentations and queries and to encourage the research scholar. With the re-opening of the University, M.A. students will also have their weekly seminar presentations. On 19th July, at 5 p.m. Mr. Jibrael will present his paper on demographic methodologies.
