This is to share with all that the Centre of Advanced Study in History, AMU, has once again started its weekly seminar presentation by the Research Scholars. Every Saturday, at 5p.m. a research scholar presents his/her paper for 45 minutes followed by questions/queries/comments/suggestions from the participants.
On 5th July 2008, Mr Amit Gaur presented his paper on "Lala Hardayal as Intellectual and Revolutionary". It was attended by as many as 30 people including few teachers and of course the Chairman as well. Dr Sumbul Haleem Khan introduced the speaker, while myself concluded the session with suggestive remarks.
We have every reason to hope that from next weeks the participation will go high, more so after re-opening of the AMU on 16th July 2008.
on 12th July 2008, at 5 p.m., Mr Khursheed will present his paper on a topic related with Medieval Bengal.
This kind of weekly seminar for M.A. students will also be held from the new session/semester. Regards,
Sajjad
