We often ask ourselves, does the Vice Chancellor listen to our cry. This is a matter of satisfaction and justice that he does.
I, [on the alumni networks as well as in the Milli Gazette, Delhi fortnightly, Novemebr 2007, besides in a personal interaction with the VC], had raised an issue that an impartial enquiry should be instituted into the september 2007 upsurges and that it should also investigate whether such crises are engineered by some of the teachers.[The title of the mail/essay was "AMU Crisis: Some Questions from an Insider"]
The VC and the EC has instituted a one member enquiry into the same, under Justice Faizanuddin, ex Judge, Supreme Court of India.
I wish to express my gratitude to the VC (and the EC) for listening to my/our cry. It should however be added that the process has got delayed. Will it affect the findings of the enquiry? This is a question to be watched. Regards, M. Sajjad Lecturer, History, AMU
