Once upon a time the civilized people used to speak only urdu. Urdu was considered the language of civilized and of literates. Here in Delhi some youths has taken step to revive it.
MEHFILE-SHER-O-SUKHUN, organized a poetry,songs cum short story recitation session today at 8:30, in which a famous Nero scientist Dr. mughal Farooq Perwaz , Mr. Rizwan khan and other AMU alumni recited their poems and gazals. From the jamia side Mr. Adil Hayat, Khalid mubashshir, noorul Islam presented their beautiful nazms and gazals. Mr. Anwarul Haq presented his short story CHANDI KA JUTA. Mr.Aftab, mr.Azad, mr. Ghufran,And mr. Iqbal sung the beautiful hindi film songs.(it is unfortunate that songs written in urdu are known as hindi songs)
MEHFILE SHER-O- SUKHUN is the organization of young urdu lovers of AMU and JAMIA. This organization has broken the traditional way of thinking to promote urdu. The organizers of this mehfil said that they are experimenting to create a new form of program in which all creative work may be presented.
