MEMORUNDUM An urgent meeting of the Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC), Aligarh was held at Premises of Faculty of Arts, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP) on 14th May, 2008 (Wednesday) to take stock of situation arising out of serial bomb blasts at Jaipur. The following resolution was passed: "The Aligarh Muslim University community is shocked at the barbaric and dastardly terrorist attack on innocent civilians in serial bomb blasts which rocked Jaipur on Tuesday evening. We condemn such senseless killings by highly indoctrinated perpetrators. We offer floral and heartfelt condolences for the survivors of the mayhem. We appeal to the State and Central Government to muster all resources to defeat the nefarious designs of terrorists. Terrorism is a multi-headed scourge which needs to be eradicated soon.
We appeal not only to the people to maintain calm and exercise restrain bit also the respective government (s) not to victimize Muslims, but also assure that the investigations are fairly conducted and also take proper measures to contain the activities of the Hindu fascist organizations the Sangh Pariwar which has gone on the rampage in the BJP ruled states."
