Dear Aligarians, Despite having spent many years in AMU and having visited various halls in the campus (particularly the R. M. Hall where my batchmate used to stay), I would often wonder about the personalities after whom these halls were named. Of late, when I started to dig deep into life history of one of them, I was taken by surprise and was ashamed of my ignorance. The following article about one of them, and it represents just a glimpse of his multi-faceted personality. Though I compiled the article for myself, but I wish to share it with all, but particularly with the current and the former residents of R. M. Hall, who may be oblivious of the towering personality after whom their hall was named. ..............
