As we all know that Jb Hz Sir Syed Ahmad sb is founder of AMU. But AMU is not only for Aligarh not only for india ,this is for all over the world.Now in Krachi,Pakistan,Plans are ready for the construction of Sir Syed Towers, a 14-story multi-purpose building project of the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association. The building is to be constructed on the association’s 4,200-square yard plot on M.R. Kiyani Road,opposite the Arts Council of Pakistan. According to the association’s sources, the design of the building has been finalised and approved.

The association was also allotted a nine-acre plot in Gulshan-e-Iqbal,and additional land covering 10 acres was obtained for a sports ground. Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) is a major achievement of the association.

Through the association’s efforts, a 200-acre piece of land has been acquired in the Education City next to Aga Khan University to provide SSUET with a permanent campus, and to create an Information Technology park, another multi-billion-rupee project.

The land was bought at Rs 50 million while its official price today is Rs 400 million. With 4,500 students at SSUET, 1,300 students in the allied institution of Aligarh Institute of Technology and another 1,200 students in the Continuing Education Programme, 100 in the Masters programme and four doing a Ph.D., the university has held nine convocations so far. The first convocation was held on March 27, 1998, the centenary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. app

mohammad allam - This is true spirit of aligarh Unregistered | Aug-04-07 i knew about the various projects started by the old boys of A.M.U. of pakistan when a delegation led by Mr Iqbal visited the aligarh muslim university in 2005.Now they are doing well and working for the scientific education for the islam.This should be a lesson for our all retired teachers of Aligarh muslim university to work for the educational developement of their own area from where they belong.if they would work then i think the educational status of indian muslim would be different in coming decade.And i hope they will do. MohsinRaza - Sir Syed Technical University Author | Aug-07-07 The SS Tech University at karachi is a great acheivement of the Old Boys under the Guidance of Nizami saheb and Zakir Saheb senior most Aligs. I was invited by the Chancellor Nizami saheb to speak on the Aligarh spirit where I showed my P.P presentation . I am really impressed with the zeal and efforts of the Aligs who have developed several other Instituitions in other parts of Pakistan.
