Ten days seminar on Urdu teaching is concluded today in the Department of Urdu.  On this occasion Prof Qazi Afzaal Hussain, chairman department of Urdu said "Urdu is one of the popular languages not only in India but in the whole world and because of its popularity many books are being translated in Urdu". He said due to the popularity and significance of Urdu, the first refresher course was conducted for Urdu teacher and soon Urdu Teaching course and Mass Media course will be started by Urdu Academy.

Prof Sageer Afraheem, the coordinator of this refresher course said for the development of any country it is necessary to spread knowledge in the mother tongue. Many other prominent educationalists addressed on this occasion and stressed on the development of Urdu teaching.

Today Urdu is linked with only Muslims and to elude this misunderstanding teacher can play a vital role. In his address it was advised by Prof. Qasim Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor Jamia Urdu
