To mourn the sad demise of Late Kausar Salik Ali Mazhar a condolence meeting in the Aligarh Muslim University ( AMU ) Engineering College was held. Hundreds of students and teachers of various faculties paid homage to the departed soul and prayed for the peace of his soul.

The general functioning of the University was suspended.

After the Juma Namaz a peace protest march was taken from Jama Masjid to the Administrative block. Many students joined Salik's class mates and Engineering college's students in a Peaceful March, there students handed a memorandum to the VC addressed to the President of india.

The main demands were :

1)  Removal of registrar Amu Prof faizan Mustafa
2) CBI inquiry in the whole episode
3)  Due compensation of RS. 30 Lakhs to the parents of Kausar
