Seven members of AMU Cricket team were named in 16 member North Zone Team for the famous Viji Trophy starting from 22nd December in Kolkata.

Recently AMU has done the North Zone Inter University held in Aligarh. Before this AMU will play the All India Inter University in Kolkata from 3rd December. First match of AMU is on 5th December. It is to be noted that Viji Trophy and Ranji Trophy are two such prestigious tournaments from where players are selected for India Team.

The selected players are Subham Binda, Aslam Ansari, Mohammad Imtiyaz, Mohammad Masihuddin, Mohammad Fazil Asif Intezar, Amir Anwar(Captain) and Abdullah is in waiting list. Mr. Amir Anwar Captain AMU will also cap the North Zone Team in the Trophy. Coach of the team will be Faisal Sherwani.
