Our mission is to make a positive difference in the career and lives of Aligarh Muslim University Students and Alumni of AMU.

The Disability Unit of Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) organized group counseling program in Department of Education for the welfare of the disabled students. The program focused on the career, employment, education and other welfare schemes available for such students.

Prof. Nabi Ahmad Coordinator of the Unit said that the purpose of the program was to infuse confidence in the disabled students so that they become independent for rest of their life. Others who participated in the Counseling includes Dr. P.K.Mathur (Dept. of Sociology), Dr. Nayeema Khatoon (Dept. of Psychology), Dr. Sunita Sharma (Dept. of Education), Prof Saud Alam Qasmi (Dept. of Sunni Theology), Dr. Shah Alam (Dept. of Psychology) and Dr. M Khalid Azam of the Disability Unit .
