57th Annual Convocation of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was held today in the Athletics ground. The Chief Guest of the function Pranab Mukherjee, External Affair Minister, Govt. of India. in his address recalled the glorious history of the University and praised its contribution in strengthening the secular nature of the country.
Following its rich traditions the programme started with the welcome speech of Vice Chancellor. Syed Mehdi Abbas Rizvi, Controller further conducted the function.
The Academic Procession followed this. In the evening the students joined the “At Home” in Sir Syed House.
