Our mission is to make a positive difference in the career and lives of Aligarh Muslim University Students and Alumni of AMU.

Couple of days back a Tamil Nadu based Muslim organization (Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kalakam) posted a message regarding the working of UPA Govt. the main issues are;
 
Is UPA government is going to fulfill their commitments?
Is Govt. going to implement reservation for the Muslims?
And finally the Organization made an appeal for March to Parliament.
For the participation in the governments and taking part in social sectors we appeal all of you to march  from Ramlila Ground of Daryaganj to Parliament  ( New Delhi ) .
 
Now the big question for Muslims intelligentsia is to justify the demand for reservation? Is it really a demand to uplift the down trodden Muslim society or they want to divide the people on the basis of caste..? Does it bear any genesis from our own religion or just influence of other religion?
 
More surprising was the incident when a teacher from AMU Aligarh questioned Justice R. Sachar, that when the Sachar Committee recommendations will be implemented, and also that why you are not asking government to implement your recommendations? If well educated and so called intellectuals of our community has such thoughts then how the poor & illiterate people of our community will respond to such issues?
 
The issue of reservation may not be given such undue importance rather efforts should be made to improve the infrastructure for education and social well being that may ameliorate the problems.
