Eligibility criteria.
The eligibility conditions for the award of scholarships are as follows :
a. The scholarships are open to only the regular students of AMU doing a full time course including class XI and XII
students.Students of the following schools are also eligible for the award of scholarships.
AMU High school for boys and girls
AMU City High School for boys and girls
Union School for boys and girls
Aligarh Muslim High School for boys and girls
Lutfia Higher Secondary School
Aligarh Public School
BlackDale Public High School
b.Only those students are eligible who have secured not less than 55% marks in their immediate last two annual examinations and taken not more than three years to pass these last two examinations.
c.The total annual income of the parents including mother is not more than Rs.120000/=
d. Students doing evening course are not eligible.
e.Students pursuing any research programme like M.Phil or Ph.D. and also M.Tech. are not eligible.
Amount and duration.
The amount of sholarship for university students is Rs.4000/= and for school students is Rs.1500/= per annum.
Time when it is notified and awarded.
Usually notification is done by the second week of August. The award is dependent on the availability of funds. Usually the
awards are made in February.
Availability of forms.
The forms are available immediately after the notification. The cost of the form is Rs.10/=
In case of direct requests.
If you forward your postal address, we can send you some forms by air mail.But I feel that as the scholarships are meant for
students of AMU only these will be of no use to you. In case you receive a direct request you may forward it to us and we will take care of the request as per our rules. |
