Mrs. Aruna Roy was in AMU to speak on "Right to Information" organized by Law faculty of Aligarh Muslim University. She said that it can revolutionize the nation and it can build the society just. With the help of right to information we can eradicate corruption and misuse of power and the government will be accountable to it. This right has given power in the hand of its citizen and by this toll citizen will be in position to check those who are ruling on them. She hopes that it will bring right to freedom, human right and will strengthen the roots of democracy concrete. About the corruption, she said that it is the poor who surfers most. This will end up their grievances.

Mr. Naseem Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University presided the workshop. He said that most challenging task before the administration is not any proper arrangement to keep the record, that’s why it is time taking and some time it is difficult to provide information at right time by the concerned officers.

Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Dean Faculty of Law, Dr. Tariq Islam Department of Philosophy also delivered lectures and Prof. Iqbal Ali Khan has given the vote of thanks.
