f New courses introduced at Department of Wildlife.
The courses of the study are: i) Certificate in RS & GlS Applications in Environmental Studies
II) Certificate In Wildlife Ecology & Management
iii) Certificate in Biodiversity Management & Conservation
Duration : 02 months Intake : 10 (5+5) (5 seats reserved for Foreign Nationals and NRI students)
Minimum Qualification : Graduation from Indian /Foreign University having studied Science/ Life Science /Agricultural I Veterinary Sciences.
Selection Procedure: Admission to the above certificate courses would be offered on the basis of merit of qualifying examination.
(i) Candidates admitted lo Certificate in RS &GIS in Environmental Studies course shall pay Rs. 5000/- (included in Table-1) per student for the full duration of the course as Special Development Charges in addition to Normal Admission Fee.
(ii) Candidates admitted to (i) Certificate in Wildlife Ecology A Management and (ii) Certificate in Biodiversity Management & Conservations courses shall pay Rs 3000/- for the full duration of the course as Special Development Charges in addition to Normal Admission Fee.
Course of Study : PG Diploma in Biodiversity Management and Conservation Duration : I Year Intake : 8 + 2
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have obtained any of the following degree from this University or any recognized University or Institution with at least 55% marks in aggregate; or equivalent grade:
1. B.Sc.(Hons.) with any of the following: i) Zoology and Botany ii) Environmental Biology iii) Forestry iv) Agriculture
Ecology 2. B.Sc. Agriculture 3. B,Sc Forestry 4. B.V.Sc.
Important: There would be a Combined Entrance Test for M- Sc. in Wildlife Science and PG Diploma in Biodiversity Management & Conservation. Candidates qualifying the entrance tests will opt for either of the course.
Selection Procedure: Admission to the open seats shall be based on merit determined through the Departmental Test to be conducted by the Chairman, Department of Wildlife Science in the Department of Wildlife Sciences.
There shall be one written paper of three hours duration of 150 marks with 50% weight for objective type questions and 50% for short descriptive type questions. The medium of Admission Test shall be English.

Test Date and Time: 05.06.2007 10 00 a.m. -12 noon Subject : General Studies Ecology and Conservation 3 00p.m.-5.00p.m. Last Date of receipt of Application Forms: 25.04.2007 Registration and Admission Test FeeRs.250/-(non refundable through Cash receipt/crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, A,M.U. Aligarh. Candidate shall submit Application Forms directly to the Chairman, Department of Wildlife Science, AMU, Aligarh 202 002 on or before the last date.
