Ziya us Salam an eminent journalist, film critic and correspondent of The Hindu. He was invited to speak on "Commercialization of Indian cinema and its impact on the common man" at Administrative Block’s Conference Hall by the University Film Club, Aligarh Muslim University.
Mr. Mohsin Raza Khan, Convener of University Film Club said that he is trying to revive old glory of the film club and making students aware about the film related techniques by inviting such people like Ziya us Salam.
The President of the club Dr. FS Shirani is a film lover and has credit of many feature films and serials. He is also a good short story writer, though he is from medicine faculty.
