Today a function was held to give away the prizes to students who had won them in a quiz competion on Holy Quran arrange by the career and guidance centre of Sir Syed Scholarship Trust. Prof. Masoodul Hasan retired dean faculty of arts and a well known figure of the university was the chief guest. In all nine prizes were awarded.

The quiz was sponsored by an old aligarian Mr. Nasser Khwaja who is working in Dallas these days. The first prize was of Rs.1000/= in cash and a copy of Holy Quran, the second prize was of Rs.750/= in cash and a copy of Holy Quran. The third prize was of Rs.500 in cash and a copy of Holy Quran and so on. In all 311 students took part in the quiz which was held in english, urdu and hindi. Out of 311 students,91 were boys and 210 girls. It was held in the assembly Hall of University Poletechnic.
