Sir Syed Scholarship for Excellence in Science Award (SSESA), for highly motivated and talented students in the Science and the Life Science faculty.
Bachelor’s and Master’s students at AMU, aspiring to carry out doctoral studies in the United States will be provided with adequate support to meetthe expenses and also guided through the application procedure. The scholarship will directly fund their GRE and TOEFL exams that are both expensive and necessary for admission to the graduate programs (PhD) in US. The scholarship award will also cover the subsequent expenditure in the entire application process like application fee and mailing costs. Students selected for the scholarships will not receive any money in hand, but their exams and the application fees will be directly sponsored by AAANE, eliminating the chances of misuse of funds. The selected students will be mentored by volunteers throughout the elaborate admission process and will be guided at every step.
We expect the selected awardees to bring honor, distinction, and reputation to AMU with their performance. In the long run, we envision themto take leadership of this mission and contribute to science, their alma mater
and their community.
