Age Below 28 years when appearing for UGC/UGC-CSIR National Eligibility Test
Relaxation
5 years in age limit for women, SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH, and those having LLM degree
Academic
At least 55% marks in the relevant Master Degree
Qualifying Exam
UGC/ UGC-CSIR NET
Other
The candidate should be registered for MPhil/ PhD or should do so within a period of one year from
the declaration of NET/UGC-CSIR examination results

House Rent Allowance:
Suitable single-seated hostel accommodation or HRA as per rules of the University/Institution or
HRA as per categorisation of the cities by the Government of India.
Departmental Assistance:
Rs.3000 pa per student to the Host Institution for providing infrastructure Disbursement
Administered by the Host Institution where the Fellow is registered for PhD Monitoring of Progress
Progress is monitored by the supervisor/guide and reflected in the yearly progress report submitted to the University for submission to the UGC office. Selection Procedure
