Dear All,

ASAK,

This is one of the good decisions of AMU administration and I don’t think there is any reason to oppose this. CCTV Cameras in public places, Roads and Gates should be installed long time back; we learn this lesson after too much loss, its late but good decision.

I appeal to all respected brothers support to the administration in every constructive decisions and give your suggestions (With drawback of Current and suggest alternative for the same), if you are not agree with any one. I believe, Rahat Abrar Sb. will convey our all suggestion to AMU administration and they will implement.

Allah Hafiz,

Zaheer Ahmad

The problem of security is main concern to all who love A.M.U. The present administration has done commendable work to strengthen the security of the campus. The need of hour is to look the problem in multi-dimensional frameworks. The other steps that should be taken are:
1 The construction of residential quarters for the university staffs at different points of the university campus. So the university would be lively after 2.00 pm and provide security to the campus. Please have a plan for repairing of the old residential staff quarters.
2 No extension of departments into residential areas.Do not turn the university campus into ghost land after 2.00 P.M.by constructing more and more departments in the residential areas.
3 some concessions to the teaching staffs, resident wardens to encourage them to reside in the campus.
4 Shifting of IGNOU centre from the main campus of the university to other area.
5 The plan to locate the departments along the main roads of the university backed by the residential quarters.
6 No further enlargement of the hostel facilities by constructing more halls. The motto should be training to the students, not to turn the university into sarai or guesthouse.
7 Phase wise closing and merging of the small and irrelevant departments.
8 The appointment of the permanent staff for the university properties.
9 The publication of the details of the properties of the university after every five years.
10 The handing over some powers hostelwise/hall wise to the students/ office bearer to solve the hall disputes at hall level.
11 There should be direct contact with the parents of the students. The university should develop a Performa of achievements of the students that should be sent to the parents /guardian annually .so the parents would know about their sons/wards activities.
The security of the university lies in the tackling of many factors at a time.May Allah blesses us to serve the university in the better way like family members.

University definitely has done a good job. But the security in the campus is all efforts made by administration, students, and residents in the campus. If you visit the campus at any time, staff of the proctorial force is always absent from the scene. No vehicle of the proctor office will be seen at the entrance or exist point in the morning. Beggers and others are at their liberty to enter any department or place in the university. No one is to check them.
If university has expended crores on the security, some amount must be expended on the facilities for students. Kitchens of the hall should be modernised. A big size floor mill, spice grinding mill and chapati making machine must be established. A small size slaughter house be started for halal beef or goat. We have seen the meat supplier providing the third class meat to the halls. Canteens must be graded at par. Nowdays, it is very common practice in the university to supply third class material with the collobration with the staff and employees. Students are the big sufferer. If any student raised voice aginst, he have to suffer atrocities of the administration.
The girls students are the big victim of the misadministration. Girls residents of I.G. hall have to stand at the road for taking rickshaws in the heat. University could provide to and fro van service to the campus and to the station for outgoing student. No one is interested to improve the conditions for the students. Administraion behave like dictator. This university is meant for the students and student must be provided every possible facilities. The administration is enjoying the five star facilities at the cost of the students. University community must see to improve the living condition. Hundreds of university houses are vacants due to rise in HRA slabs. These houses must be allotted to the research scholars, girls students. Hundreds of girls are living in private hostels, rooms at the very cost. They have to suffer a lot at the hand of outsiders and pay a lot for their study. We must accept the facts and do their best for student so that any unrest could not take place.

Naaz - BETTER ENVIRONMENT IN AMU CAMP Unregistered | Jul-02-10
I m not against CCTV Cameras in AMU it's a good decision for the safety n security of students there but administration of AMU should also see what is it's impact on young students mind??they had developed a wrong view regarding it saying that they r in a jail n r they criminals.they themselves say that they r unable to enjoy the free life in AMU.actually, the decision of administration is very good in context with security but the mind of young students r getting spoiled?now the question is that who will make the young mind understand this?I think the authority should take such decision which would not harm the minds as well as the life of students AND PAVE way 4 a better environment in AMUcampus.ALLAHAFIZ
