Today was the second session of demonstration in the program “Artist in Residency” where students also participated with all enthusiasm. Prof. Jharotia talked about his experience in A.M.U. He said two things had a profound impression on him. He was highly impressed by the active participation of students and said the students of the department are very aware about the current debates in the Fine Art field. Their inquisitive mind and intellectual restless suggest that they certainly will shine as important artists in future. He said they are equipped with all the essential ingredients required for becoming an artist. The other thing that impressed Prof. Zharotia was the atmosphere of Aligarh Muslim University in general and Gulistan-e-Syed in particular. He said it was quite refreshing to visit the beautifully planned park Gulistan-e-Syed, which brings harmony in the architectural landscape of the campus. Tomorrow the “Artist in Residency” will be concluded with the exhibition of the participating students.
