Dr. G. G. H. A. Shadab and Dr. Yasir Hasan Siddique of Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University have been awarded with the Environmental Scientist of the Year Award-2009 and Scientist of the Year Award-2009 for their significant contribution in the fields of environmental science and toxicology respectively.

Earlier Dr. Shadab has received the Young Scientist Fellowship in 2005. He completed his research on cytogenic and clinical studies of certain steroids on human chromosomes and contributed significantly in the field of human genetics and genetic toxicology. He has more than fifteen research papers to his name published in reputed national and international journals.
