The Short Evening Courses of General Education Center, Aligarh Muslim University held a lecture on the Quranic wisdom and knowledge of science. Presenting the lecture Associate Clinical Professor of Michigan State University, USA Dr. Qazi S Azhar pointed out that scientific research is not given due importance in India whereas in western countries it receives extraordinary focus. He said that in western countries science fairs are often held to raise awareness of children of class V to XII and planning at every level is based on scientific research. He emphasized that such science fairs should be organized in Aligarh also in order to produce scientists.

Coordinator of the General Education Center, Dr. Shakeel Samdani said that Quran is the guiding force not only to Muslims but to the whole mankind. Presiding over the programme, Secretary of Muslim Educational Social and Cultural Organization, Hyderabad, Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmad elaborated the aims and objectives of the organization and said that soon a Center will be established in Aligarh. Mansoor Ilahi, Secretary of Short Evening Club welcomed the participants.
