Local politicians having collusion with mafias and outsiders interfering in AMU affairs: Dr. Mujahid Beg
A press conference comprising of Elected Statutory Members of Executive Council, AMU Court and Academic Council as well as AMU Teacher’s Association and senior teachers under the leadership of Dr. Mujahid Beg (Elected member of Executive Council) was held today in AMU campus.
All the members vehemently condemned the brutal murder of AMU student Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain Dr. Mujahid Beg, as well as all other members allegedly suspects foul play in the said murder. It is being suspected that murder of Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain has some deep-rooted conspiracy by person having vested interest in creating turmoil, unrest, etc. in the campus in order to remove Prof. P. K. Abdul Aziz as Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University because due to genuine strict actions of the present Vice Chancellor to streamline the university, the said vested interested persons are now unable to squeeze the university which they had been doing since last thirty years.
These statutory body members demand a CBI inquiry in the said murder, which would unravel the truth. A CBI inquiry for previous murders of three students and three teachers occurring during the last two decades has already been demanded in the Fact Finding Inquiry Committee constituted by the Visitor of AMU.
It is suspected that the present murder and previous murders have close links with each other regarding the conspirators behind the curtain as these conspirators were ruling the University since last 2-3 decades. The actions of the Vice Chancellor in providing compensation as well as a job to one of the family members of the murdered student are highly applauded.
Furthermore, these members said that the decision taken by all the Deans which was approved by the Vice Chancellor for closure of the university was perfect and the need of the hour in order to save the life of other students and University property.
If the university was not closed then it was suspected that these persons having vested interest in collusion of criminals and local politicians, who were allegedly funding the conspired student’s agitation, could have murdered a few more students in order to achieve their nefarious designs. It was because of this reason only that despite of around 80 % students attending their classes, this painful decision of university closure had to be taken in order to prevent further suspected murders, etc. Moreover, all the members as well as AMU community strongly condemns the active participation of local politicians in the said students dharna. Due to their support, criminals and outsiders took active part in the dharna.
Never before, in the annals of AMU history, any political party had interfered in AMU affairs. The Muslim Ummah is shocked to see local politicians having collusion with mafias and outsiders promoting the conspired dharna and interfering in AMU affairs. All the said members, AMU community and Muslim Ummah urges the Government of India to take strict action against the local politicians and strongly demands for a thorough CBI inquiry in order to bring the real culprits to book. Dr. Mujahid Beg and all other members are confident that an answer to the above.
