Closing the university twice in last two years due to indiscipline is not is not acceptable and is a total failure of administration. In this current situation, I have started believing that the biggest threat to the University is not from the indisciplined students but in fact, from the inefficient administration. I appeal to VC sahib, Registrar, Finance Controller, Controller of exams and Proctor to voluntarily resign. The new team should assess the academic situation and replace all the deans and provosts. A complete shake up of the administration is required.

Shibli Khan - Unholy Nexus, Protest and Rese Unregistered | Oct-31-09 The closure of ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY for the second time in just 2 years, brings to fore the incompetence of those in power and administration. AMU administration has failed to realize is that its not a single isolated incident of a murder of AMU student behind the anger of students. But rather it is a accumulation of suppressed emotions of students, teachers, old boys and almost every stake holder of ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY which is finally finding its way out in open after the murder of a fellow student. The list of suppressed emotions and resentment against present VC and his cronies is large but space and time is rather constrained. it’s height of hypocrisy that a university which makes it mandatory for its student to pass Urdu language exam up to class twelfth has put in place a VC who can’t even speak; leave alone read or write Urdu. It’s a shame that a university which for over 100 years has prided itself as a custodian of a “culture” today takes pride in organizing “pongal dance festivals” on the eve of Eid Milan and that too on university premises. Even a slight democratic protest against a small thing like a request for non-removal of electric power socket from hostel rooms in front of VC is met by summary suspension of students on spot on the charge of “netagiri” But what every stake holder of AMU, from students to ex students should realize is the fact that if they ever hope to take on present VC and his cronies they have to understand the unholy nexus behind him. Ever wondered how a person who cant even speak local language, rule with such an iron grip ? The present District Magistrate of Aligarh, Senior superintend of police of Aligarh and VC of AMU, are all from south Indian states. The trio shares such a close bond that a local newspaper once reported that on occasion of Eid-Milan the DM after seeing the keralian dance became so emotional that he burst into tears in front of VC and SSP. No matter it takes fraction of minutes for DM and SSP to turn AMU, premise into a fortress, covered by gun touting policemen deployed at every hook and corner. This south Indian nexus doesn’t stop here but rather it is supported by a senior secretary in Uttar Pradesh government who also hails from south India and also by an education secretary who works directly under HRD minister. This nexus is further cemented by some senior professors like Dr.Durrani from Karnataka, who can been seen like a shadow to VC on every occasion and press release. Not to mention the second in command Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Abdul Jaleel (Registrar of Amu, is from Kerala) . Once we understand this deep south Indian nexus which is a lifeline of present VC sustaining him through every thick and thin, we have to turn our attention to the local unholy nexus which is based on pure opportunism. (unlike south Indian nexus based on common culture, values and deep sympathy for a fellow south Indian trying to make out in bad lands of north India ) The local nexus is spearheaded by Mrs. Yasmin Jalal Beg, Finance Officer of AMU, a fierce and loyal supporter of VC who helped him in his financial irregularities which is being looked into right now by a committee appointed by none other than president of India. Prof. Mujahid Beg a local power broker and brother in law of Yasmin Beg, who is the right hand man of VC assisting him in everything from local intelligence to protest at every level in support of VC. Ex-Professor Ali Akhtar khan, father in law of Mujahid beg and an old shot ( during his tenure with AMU, he would regularly create flutters with his anti-Islamic views) who drawing on his vast experience of local knowledge and politics, mostly work from behind the curtain by drawing all the war strategies for VC. This family grip on AMU is so complete that no body dare challenge them in open now for fear of physical and verbal abuse and other repercussion Any one and everyone who has any stake in AMU and thinks that the present VC should go has to understand the wall of nexus protecting him from strong and genuine protests over the years. Anonymous Unregistered | Oct-31-09 AMU is a institution of manipulators, so every V.C are welcomed on the day 1,and oppurtunists mushrooms the V.C, for jobs, contracts , admistrative posts. If the V.C fails to meet their terms and condition they try to collect his weakness and start rumor mongering, culminating into outbursts by students and teachers. Go back Unregistered | Nov-01-09 Hamare vc sahab ne students ko sirf terrified kiya hai,ok unhone development bhi kiya,but aisa development kis kam ka jise hum apne haq se use na kar sake. Vc sahab ne order diye ki canteen should be close at 6 pm. Ladke raat me 2-3 baje tak padhte hai,to i think aap chai vagaira bhi piyenge. But canteen is closed. So students will go to station and on dhaba etc. Why amu is not like other universities like jnu? Where the library,canteens and nescafes are open 24 hour. Why in the girl hostel girls cant use heater while the canteen is closed. After the completion of one acedamic year why we should vacat the hostel with bag and bagage?some of the students r from kashmir,bengal,bihar etc. Where they will safe their luggage? Why room will be change after one year? Why students cant stay in the hostel after the exam whether they want to stay for the preparation? Why students wil go back if they do not want to go back? Sameer - Situation of muslims around th Unregistered | Nov-01-10 I feel verry pity for our Muslim Brohters and sisters that till date they donot understand which way they are going. Through out the world Muslim have a bad image and i think Aligarians well know about it who are working abroad. I have seen the university since last 30 years and well know what type of corruption is there. I have noted above that some one above said that Prof Ali Akhter is anti- islamic. Well he may be i have not seen his heart and that may be that he is anti -islamic . But for sure i have always whenever by chance i saw him he was regular in his prayers. Please move ahead of saying your fellow brothers anti - islamic. Secoundly i would not name them but in AMU there is a group who support infact spoil the career of student by financing these types of activities. I did my schooling gradution post graduation from AMU but i newer felt a problem in AMU atmosphere either with the my fellow collegues or my respected teachers.
