AMU Administration visited different residential halls Print E-mail

The Aligarh Muslim University students are leaving for their hometown peacefully and the provosts and wardens of residential halls are helping them by providing them with financial assistance to the needy. The University administration has arranged adequate means of transportation including special trains and buses to help students return to their home conveniently and without any difficulty.

The administration decided to close down the University till further orders preempting any unfortunate eventuality after some outside and anti-social elements partaking in the ongoing agitation of a group of students. The University administration had appealed to the students to leave their halls as per the announced schedule by busses and trains made available for their convenience.

AMU students were seen leaving the University campus in large number. The AMU Registrar, Prof. V. K. Abdul Jaleel, Controller Prof. Pervez Mustajab along with other functionaries of the University today visited different residential halls and took the stock of situation. AMU Vice Chancellor Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis has appealed to the teachers to advise the students to maintain peace and order in the campus.
