I think just few days back I wrote extensively on the issue that without providing any alternative our Hon'able Vice-Chancellor conducted massive raids at the Halls of Residence for Heaters and literally ushered AMU in the era of ultimate oprression. Last night one of our beloved fellow Shahnawaz Ahmad was shot dead at an eatery near the Aligarh Railway Station, because of the fact there is no alternative option available for food here at AMU.
Yes again we are talking about some basic things like Hunger at university like AMU.
And VC even did not come to meet with us for long 3 hours when we were in Medical with that dead body. 15 seconds message I am sorry was enough We are pained to see in which dystopia we are living.
Now, if Proctor get a information about a heater in any hostel, he would raid with 5 gypsies. But he thought that his job is finished by asking students to remain within campus after 9. Yes, you may sleep hungry. But after the death of our beloved brother, we even could not see his face. Now I dont know how much my message shall be moderated, but am I wrong that the Vice-Chancellor, Proctor, DSW( As Canteen Committee Chairman) should resign on moral grounds that they done alot for their lavish lifestyles they did not care even about our hunger. We are all angry here.
Everyone is cynical that why at this painful moments we are taking up other issues. But we want to identify those reverend personalities whose act led to the untimely death at an eatery at last night at Aligarh Station.At the Students Grievance Redressal Committee we talked so much about our problems, nothing has been met and he shut us up with indirect threat of NRSC, Suspension etc through our departments.
How many death this administration needs to listen the problems of our students? So are we even wrong to give us legitimate opportunity to raise the students problems in a democratic way without being feared of suspension and rustication. Today there were two groups, one unruly mob went to station with violence streak but then sat on the main line of Aligarh Howrah and peacefully demanding the resignation of VC for owing the responsibility. I think after 3 hours now RAF is soon going to lathicharge on them. I hope all our Old Boys would be pretty happy about it. I mean when its all about students, dont go to the real malice, but they only see the action of the students. The other one resort to peaceful protest in front of Registrar Office by sitting on the road as Dharna to propose our demands peacefully.I was among them. We pasted posters. Many more bright students were there but they have faced threat of suspension like me even for such peaceful agitation( as if we should be silent). Now after Maghrib we are going to led a peaceful candle light march in every hostel in his rememberance. Well just few minutes back when VC came to us after lots of pleading, I directly said that apart from all those raids in hostel with heater as main theme, why he never thought of well maintained 24x7 canteen like in JNU. This case would not happened. My next question was, how many students they are going to suspend after student reacted to this death even in peaceful manner. First the ans was no, then we asked in writing, and I cant assure u. So we are the easy fish, we dont even have the right to raise pertinent questions?
How long we will be silent and see death after death? Now Old Boys owes the responsibility whether they heed to the plea of students or not or we and our career are mere football in the hands of Administration. Adil Hossain
