Dr. Hammad Usmani, Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesology and Consultant, Pain Clinic at J.N. Medical College Hospital, AMU Aligarh attended a five-day interventional pain management training course held at Kolkata. The course was organized in collaboration with the team of Advanced Comprehensive Medical Care, Chicago, USA and World Institute of Pain.
 
During the course Dr. Hammad Usmani underwent exhaustive training on advance interventions in pain management including the new radiofrequency and pulsed radiofrequency techniques applied in this field. He had also learnt the placement and operation of spinal cord simulators in intractable painful conditions as well as the technique of vertebroplasty and gasserian ganglion neurolysis for spinal fractures and trigeminal neuralgia respectively.
