Traditions are the integral part of the education in Aligarh and these traditions are being passed from one generation to another. Though cultural traditions are fading with the time but few are intact since existence. Quite often we read/hear news with source as ‘Unidentified’. Aligarians never rely on such news because they have ‘Ek Sahab’ who provides latest news in the campus. For generations Aligs are trying to find this dedicated Sahab but they are unable to find him because he is so quick to move as he reaches to get the news. Few courageous (Innocent/Junior) fellows tried to find ‘Ek Sahab’ through back tracking but they gave up their hope after few orientations and accepted the existence of ‘Ek Sahab’ as their predecessors. There are so many stories in the campus that every newcomer hears from him senior room partner and side room partners in a long winter night after introduction period is over. Mostly ‘Ek Sahab’ is the source, hero, villain or the victim in the end of these stories. A true ever existing Aligarian ‘Ek Sahab’ is never tired, never get old, never retire and always update with latest news and bring curiosity, emotions, excitement and joy in campus life.
