AMU getting ready for its new centers
The Aligarh Muslim University intends to make its five special centres fully functional from the next academic session and to finalize the arrangements for the establishment of the centre, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis today convened the first meeting of the advisory committee of the AMU old boys comprising the members across the globe.

A twelve member Advisory Committee of the prominent old boys under the convener ship of Dr. Masood Akhtar of the Middletown, USA will meet on October 14, 2009 in the India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi. The other members of the committee are Engineer Nadeem Akhtar Tareen, Riyadh (KSA), Mr. Zaigham Khan, KSA, Mr. Ameen Ahmad, Group Managing Director of Teejan Group of Companies, Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Faisal Saleem, USA, Mr. Ali Rizvi, President, Federation of AMU Alumni Associations of USA, Mr. M A A Fatmi, former Minister of State for HRD, Mr. Khwaja Mohammad Shahid, New Delhi, Mr. Safdar H. AMU : Team to visit Malappuram

A five member team led by the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis will visit Perinthalamanna in Malappuram district on September 29, 2009 for inspecting the land under acquisition for the purpose of establishing a special Centre of the Aligarh Muslim University in Kerala.

Prof Hamid Ali conferred Best Educationist Award

Professor Hamid Ali of the Department of Petroleum Studies, AMU Aligarh has been conferred upon the Best Educationist Award by the Solidarity Council, New Delhi.

Prof. Hamid Ali received the award in a Seminar Education and Industrial Development held at Constitution, Speaker Hall, New Delhi.

 

 

 
Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis's request
While thanking the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar in taking the decision to give 100 acres of land free of cost to Aligarh Muslim University for opening its centre in Bihar, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis has requested him to provide an additional 150 - 200 acres of land contiguous to the currently identified site for establishing AMU centre in Bihar. The Vice-Chancellor has requested Shri Nitish Kumar to provide the required land urgently so that the University would be able to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Feasibility Report (FR) as required by the Government of India.
