No use demanding an enquiry through media |
|
Prof. Mujahid Beg is an elected member of Executive Council, AMU. If we go by the release given by him, I think he has all the resources and power to get a CBI enquiry instituted. He can bring up the matter in EC meeting, get it passed there and pursue with Central Govt. for enquiry. There is no use demanding an enquiry through media. He should take some concrete steps towards that. Let the truth prevail. Mohammad Sadiq Khan MBBS 2004 Aligarh

Closure of the university was the need of the hour |
|
Local politicians having collusion with mafias and outsiders interfering in AMU affairs: Dr. Mujahid Beg A press conference comprising of Elected Statutory Members of Executive Council, AMU Court and Academic Council as well as AMU Teacher’s Association and senior teachers under the leadership of Dr. Mujahid Beg (Elected member of Executive Council) was held today in AMU campus.
All the members vehemently condemned the brutal murder of AMU student Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain Dr. Mujahid Beg, as well as all other members allegedly suspects foul play in the said murder. It is being suspected that murder of Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain has some deep-rooted conspiracy by person having vested interest in creating turmoil, unrest, etc. in the campus in order to remove Prof. P. K. Abdul Aziz as Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University because due to genuine strict actions of the present Vice Chancellor to streamline the university, the said vested interested persons are now unable to squeeze the university which they had been doing since last thirty years.

An APPEAL of Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis |
|
Selfishness of a few is destroying the career of the majority It is truly a travesty of the glorious traditions of AMU, a fraud on the whole concept of students’ rights and a grossly unethical practice to exploit a painful occasion of deep grief. It was with great personal agony that I have been watching closely the unfolding events in the University in the last couple of days. Those who are aware of the events of AMU in the last two decades know that the University has been tormented by periodic disturbances incited by certain groups of people with well entrenched vested interests. Every time, they were exploiting students to create trouble and ‘fish’ in the troubled waters. It is painful that, in AMU, Vice-Chancellors are never allowed to carry forward meaningful work. |

I was always longing to leave this jail, and it was my last day at Abdullah Hall. For an inexplicable reason, my heart was heavy with the thought of leaving.
