Assalam Alaikum, First of I would like to thank the webmaster for such an excellent piece of work.  Specially the Jhrokhe colum is nostalgic.

One thing apart from University Campus that I loved was the Aligarh Food.

Baat 92 ki hai we used to go to Upper Fort (popularly known as UPPERCOAT) for 'Nahari and Nalli' at Muddees shop, espicially during Ramdhan for Sehri.

Ek din ka waqya sunata hoon. ... Main aur mere qabil dost Arshad Nadeem jo ki ab Delhi mein Physiotherapist hain uppercoat Nahari ki sehri karne gaye. Subah ke 3 baj rahe honge. Plan ke mutabik sehri karne ke baad railway station par chai peene ka dastoor tha.

Abdullha bhai ka roz ka mamool thha ke ke jaise hi Shahid mian room me dakhil hotey Abdullha bhai apne makhsoos andaz me unse sawal kartey thhe " shahid mian time kya hua?" aur shahid mian time bata kar room se bahar chale jaate thhe.

AMU, Prof. Khairowala said that consequent upon ceaseless and sincere efforts of our visionary, dynamic Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis, the Ministry of HRD has honoured to AMU to establish a Residential Coaching Academy.

The Residential Coaching Academy provide the Coaching to the aspirants of the Civil Services Examination – UPSC, Provincial Services Examinations, Judicial Services [PCS (J)] , Public Sector Banks and Insurance and Indian Railway Services competitive examinations for Minorities/SCs/STs & Women as per letter of the University Grant Commission No. F.56-1-2009 (CU) dated 09.09.2009.

Ahmad Saleem, the son of Faisal and Rehana Saleem, won the Arizona Tennis State Championship with a comeback 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Tucson Salpointe Catholic’s Mitch McDaniels Saturday, May 5th at the Paseo Racquet Club in Glendale.

This is a first time a Muslim youth in the valley won a State title in tennis paving a way and inspiration for others to follow.

Congratulations to Ahmad for this huge accomplishment. The proud parents Faisal and Rehana deserve equal accolades for their dedication and hard work in raising Ahmad to reach for lofty goals.
